We have been reading through Toot and Puddle by Holly Hobbie for our book club this month and the kids have really been enjoying it. In the book, Toot goes on an adventure around the world and visits many different countries.
It's a really great book for exploring geography.
I put together a couple of items for the kids to have fun reenacting the story. They have been going back to it pretty regularly over the past few weeks so I think it has been a hit!
On the tray:
a little stuffed pig
felt globe/map (you can see a DIY tutorial and how to use it over at Rhythm of the Home)
round globe
the book by Holly Hobbie
Since the ratios are a little off for our pig and the felt, we used the globe to visit some of the countries that were too small. You can tell my continents aren't nearly as pretty as the ones from Jae Jun but they work :)
