Remember a while ago I said we were most likely entering a new sensitive period? I think I have like four more math posts ready to go! Bear has been really into skip counting this week. He'll wander around the house skip counting by 2's or 10's or 100's. Even though I introduced this a while ago he has just started showing interest in it.
On the tray:
Skip Counting Chart
Single Cube Counters (pennies or beads work well too)
I showed him the control chart and asked him to pick a number to skip count by. He picked skip counting by two's and worked hard on getting all the way to 100. I reminded him to put the counters back and the tray back when he was done.
