November Play

So, my printer broke. Well, it's not working for some reason. It happens every couple of months.

I had grand plans for November using all the wonderful free printables from Homeschool Creations and 2 Teaching Mommies Maybe we'll get to them soon. But so far this week has been great without them, even better actually. (Maybe it's time to rethink how we're doing things, no?)

Magnets, Tubes, Berry Containers- Homemade Marble Run (I had reserved the materials for something I saw on pinterest a while back, but after visiting a friend who had these really cool Frigits, I was inspired to use magnets to put them on the fridge instead)

 Building Train Tracks

Finding Sticks for the activity below
Learning about the first Thanksgiving.

Counting- (I drew 1-10 hats onto Popsicle sticks, and the numbers 1-10 on clothespins. He matches the numerals to the hats)

Practicing "at" words. Building Sentences (real and funny)

Tea Party (much more important than taking out the trash)

Practicing Syllables. We have a great curriculum but you can do with any picture cards. We have the numbers 1-3 for words with 1, 2, or 3 syllables. He sorts the pictures according to how many in each word. example: cat, (1), cupcake (2), unicorn (3)

Every once in a while, scissors and glue is all you need.

*update* Check out the super fun Linky Party Here for a ton more ideas of things to do this month!
